Pike High School Young Life

With a vision to reach students at schools where Young Life hasn’t traditionally thrived or even been present at all, Mike Newton and the Young Life Indy Urban Growth committee restarted Young Life at Pike High School in 2016. Beginning with a small gathering of football players and a group of just eight campers that first summer, the ministry has grown to serve hundreds of high school students through personal discipleship, club gatherings, and epic camp trips, even adapting through this pandemic year so that Young Life leaders can continue living life alongside our students. We’ve also branched out and started Wyldlife at Guion Creek Middle School and restarted Young Life at Lawrence Central High School. Courtney Barbour now serves on staff there. Future schools that we would like to develop include Speedway High School and Ben Davis High School.
